TOGL, an advanced Internet technology company based in Malaysia has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Huawei Cloud during the Huawei Cloud Spark Discovery for Internet Industry event. The event gathered top players in the internet industry from the Asia Pacific region to visit Huawei’s headquarters and meet with experts from Huawei and leading peers in China. The MOU covers the two companies’ future partnership in metaverse, virtual experience, livestreaming, big data, and AI.
As one of the fastest-growing internet companies in Malaysia, TOGL offers popular applications such as Yippi for social networking, TopzMall for e-commerce, and TogaGo for travel services. Huawei Cloud’s cutting-edge technologies power TOGL, enabling the company to provide a seamless user experience upon traffic surges and VOD acceleration that is faster, more stable, and cost-effective.
Yippi, TOGL’s flagship product, provides social networking, payment, e-commerce, travel, entertainment, video calls, healthcare, and live event streaming services. It is rapidly expanding its user base and needs a more flexible architecture to handle traffic spikes. Huawei Cloud’s Container Engine (CCE) Turbo and Relational Database Service (RDS) were used to re-architect Yippi’s systems, allowing up to 3,000 pods to be added in just one minute during traffic surges. RDS enables reads and writes of stored user information, comments, recommendations, and rewards in seconds.
Huawei Cloud VOD provides the OBS + CDN pseudo origin server solution to reduce origin pull latency by 60%, resulting in smoother video playback and a 50% reduction in public network bandwidth costs for TOGL. The company is also looking for broader partnerships to expand into virtual exhibits, retail metaverse, and other innovative fields. Huawei Cloud has more than 41,000 ecosystem partners worldwide, and a solid partner network and wide-ranging competencies will expedite innovations in TOGL. The MOU was signed by Mr. Zeng Xingyun, President of Huawei Cloud APAC, and Mr. Roy Lim Jun Hao, CMO of TOGL Technology. They stated that TOGL aims to make people’s lives better and help small- and medium-sized enterprises grow. Huawei Cloud will dive deeper into technologies and services to start a new chapter of growth for internet companies like TOGL.
