Tablet users are more likely to purchase online than smart phone users

Refer to statistic published by Nielsen at http://blog.nielsen.com, smartphone owners like to use their device for in-store activities such as claiming mobile coupons (39%) ad using shopping lists (40%). Besides, majority smartphone users used their smartphone to find a store (78%) or to check prices online while shopping (63%).

Nielsen found tablet owners are different from smartphone users. Half of tablet owners used their device for online shopping and 90% of them made the purchases while sitting at home. However, the tablet users are more likely to use their device for product research (68%) and reading online reviews before making any purchase (53%).
