Shopee Launches Affordable Muslimah Fashion Capsule Collection in Partnership with Local SMEs

Shopee partners with Malaysian Muslimah fashion SMEs to launch the affordable 6.6 GayaLitLit #ShopeeHaul collection, offering versatile styles for under RM40 to support local sellers and boost women’s confidence. The initiative enhances the shopping experience with improved delivery options and a hassle-free returns policy.

29 May 2024 – Shopee has announced a new partnership with diverse Malaysian Muslimah fashion SMEs to create an exclusive capsule collection for June 2024. This initiative, part of the 6.6 GayaLitLit #ShopeeHaul campaign, aims to support local sellers and boost the confidence of women across the nation by offering versatile, stylish, and affordable wardrobe options.

Elevating Fashion for All Women

The 6.6 GayaLitLit #ShopeeHaul collection features a range of fashion items priced below RM40, making it accessible to Malaysian women from all backgrounds. A recent Shopee study found that 7 in 10 Muslimah women, particularly those aged 35 to 44 from rural areas, prioritize comfort when selecting their wardrobe. Half of these women choose items that boost their confidence, and two-thirds are motivated to update their outfits for special occasions or to replace worn-out clothes.

Enhanced Shopping Experience

Over the past year, Shopee has significantly upgraded its platform infrastructure and service quality to cater to the needs of Muslimah fashion shoppers. The On Time Guarantee ensures faster and more flexible delivery options, including next-day and instant delivery, along with more Shopee self-collection points. Additionally, the expanded Change of Mind free returns policy allows for hassle-free returns during the 15-day Shopee Guarantee period.

Dynamic Trends on Shopee Live

Tan Ming Kit, Head of Marketing and Business Intelligence at Shopee, highlighted the dynamic evolution of Muslimah fashion trends observed on Shopee Live. “Homegrown sellers like Panda Eyes, Lovito, and Zoe Arissa are actively engaging with their communities through live streams, providing styling tips, product fit information, and comprehensive views of their product assortments,” said Tan.

Curated Capsule Collection

In collaboration with M2Dream, DEEM Store, ZUCCA, Panda Eyes, KM Fashion Center, Stynis Traveller Luggage & Bags Store, Zoe Arissa, Tudung Exclusive, and ZEKE Store, Shopee has curated a collection that allows women to create multiple cohesive looks with a few essential pieces. Tan Ming Kit added, “Our collection offers modest attire that can be layered with edgy outerwear and accessories, enabling Malaysian women to express their individuality in style and comfort from Monday to Sunday.”

The inclusive GayaLitLit #ShopeeHaul collection caters to women of all skin tones and sizes, featuring three key seasonal looks identified by Shopee’s in-house stylists:

  • Sis Ranggi: Stand out with a turban-style tudung paired with smart casual pants or a skirt and jacket.
  • Everyday Cantik: A conservative chic look with a monochrome oversized button-up shirt and pants, suitable for both work and weekend outings.
  • Anggun Bergaya: Achieve elegance with a maxi dress styled with a shawl for neat, proper lines.
