9 May 2024 – Microsoft Corp. and LinkedIn have jointly released the highly anticipated 2024 Work Trend Index report, focusing on the state of AI at work under the theme “AI at work is here. Now comes the hard part.” Alongside this report, Microsoft introduced new capabilities in Copilot within Microsoft 365, while LinkedIn made over 50 learning courses accessible to LinkedIn Premium subscribers, aimed at empowering professionals to enhance their AI skills.

Based on a comprehensive survey of 31,000 individuals across 31 countries including Malaysia, labor and hiring trends on LinkedIn, and trillions of Microsoft 365 productivity signals, the report delves into the significant impact of AI on work dynamics, leadership, and hiring practices globally. It highlights the rapid adoption of generative AI tools at the workplace, with employees embracing agile and innovative tools, while also addressing the challenges faced by leaders in moving from AI experimentation to tangible business impact.
