eCommerce Market in South Korea Grows 5.3% in Q3 2013

Nov 27, 2013 (Wed): South Korea’s e-commerce sales reached 292 trillion won (RM886 billion) in third quarter this year. It grew 5.3 percent on-year amid increasing demand for online transactions in the country, Yonhap News Agency reports.

The report showed that 92.7 per cent of the sales contributed by business-to-business (B2B) transactions. Business-to-government (B2G) deals reported grew 11.6 per cent to 11.93 trillion won (RM36.2 billion), business-to-consumer (B2C) jumped 14.4 per cent to 6.07 trillion won (RM18.4 billion) and consumer-to-consumer (C2C) sales increased 14.8 per cent to 3.34 trillion won (RM10.1 billion).
