WhatsApp has announced a new desktop app for Windows, catering to the growing demand for multi-device messaging experiences. The new app is designed to offer users faster loading times and a user-friendly interface that is familiar to both WhatsApp and Windows users. The app supports group video calls with up to eight people and audio calls with up to 32 people, with plans to increase these limits in the future. Additionally, the app offers fully end-to-end encrypted messaging, media, and calls across all devices. WhatsApp has also made improvements to multi-device capabilities, including faster device linking, better syncing, and new features such as link previews and stickers. The company has also launched a beta experience for Android tablets and a faster app for Mac desktops that is currently in beta testing.
