Thu, May 16, 2013: BlackBerry’s Executive Vice President Andrew Bocking, via a blog post announced that BlackBerry has extended BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) service to iOS and Android users to compete with other free messaging services, reports Telegraph. BBM is one of the earliest mobile chat tools and currently has more than 51 million BlackBerry users using it to communicate with friends and family members.
