Amazon’s third-party sellers grow more than 40% last holiday season
Amazon.com, Inc. (Amazon) announced that 2012 was a record-breaking holiday season for its over 2 million third-party sellers worldwide selling on Amazon, with the growth of more than 40 percent year-over-year and hundreds of millions of units worth tens of billions of dollars were sold worldwide.
According to Peter Faricy, VP for Amazon marketplace, the entire Amazon Seller organization is focused on helping the businesses succeed and grow on Amazon. They created a dynamic marketplace platform with more than 188 million active customers worldwide as well as helping them to deliver best shopping experience to the customers with Amazon services such as Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA), Amazon Payments method and Product Ads.
With FBA, sellers of all sizes can choose to have Amazon ship their products directly to customers and offer Amazon Prime benefits, FREE Super Saver Shipping, simple exporting to customers around the world, easy returns for orders placed on Amazon.com and great customer service. Amazon Payments method acts as a simple and trusted way to pay for purchases on seller websites while the tens of millions of Product Ads clicks will drive Amazon traffic to seller stores and businesses.
