Workato’s inclusion in IMDA’s Advanced Digital Solutions scheme aims to empower over 1,500 SMEs in Singapore by offering automation and integration solutions. The collaboration with ecosystem partners aims to eliminate digitalization barriers and enhance SMEs’ operational efficiency and growth prospects.
25 August 2023 – Workato, a pioneering enterprise automation leader, has become the inaugural digital automation and integration solution to be incorporated into the Infocomm Media Development Authority’s (IMDA) Advanced Digital Solutions (ADS) scheme, an initiative under the SMEs Go Digital program. This collaboration seeks to propel over 1,500 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) towards comprehensive digitalization across various domains including human resources, marketing, sales, and finance, offering them access to funding, resources, and opportunities to scale up.
IMDA’s Advanced Digital Solutions scheme is designed to aid enterprises in piloting advanced integration and sustainability solutions, encompassing areas such as carbon management and e-commerce. With Workato’s inclusion in the ADS scheme, SMEs will gain access to automation and integration solutions through the expansive community of ecosystem partners. Notable participants include HReasily, a prominent payroll and human resource management solutions provider in Asia, offering efficient HR process management and compliance across multiple Asian countries.
Workato’s collaborative efforts extend to partners like SGTech, a tech community trade association in Singapore, which will introduce the ADS program to suitable tech partners and SMEs through its digital transformation initiatives. Additionally, Stone Forest, a business solutions firm under IMDA’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO)-as-a-Service program, will contribute digital consultancy expertise to SMEs. Workato aims to expand its ecosystem by inviting more technology partners, thus enhancing SMEs’ digital transformation journeys.
Despite SMEs contributing significantly to Singapore’s GDP and employment landscape, budgetary constraints often impede their digitalization plans, as highlighted in Workato and SGTech’s 2023 State of Digital Automation Survey.
Allan Teng, Founder and Senior Advisor for Workato APJ, emphasized, “Workato’s goal has always been to empower businesses to harness the power of automation for transformative business growth.” Teng outlined the potential of Workato’s low-code, no-code integration and automation platform to collaborate with IMDA and ecosystem partners, fostering a dynamic environment for SMEs to unlock their digital potential.
Sharon Lee, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of HReasily, emphasized the significance of automation and integration for SMEs dealing with multiple applications. Lee noted the inefficiencies arising from the lack of workflow automation and integration and stated that the partnership aims to provide SMEs with tools to streamline operations and drive growth.
The Advanced Digital Solutions scheme, initiated by IMDA in March 2020, seeks to enhance enterprises’ digital capabilities and resilience, fostering business growth in the digital economy. Over time, the scheme has supported numerous SMEs in embracing advanced and integrated solutions.
