Wargaming teams up with MOL for regional expansion
The award-winning online game developer and publisher, Wargaming has announced that its gaming portal, www.wargaming.net is now allow regional game players to use their local currency payment options for playing Wargaming games by utilizing MOLPoints payment system.
MOLPoints is a virtual currency provided by the regional e-payment provider MOL Access Portal Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary wholly-owned by MOL Global Group and used by over two million online consumers to acquire online credits and digital goods worldwide.
Wargaming Southeast Asia Chief Strategic Officer KC Tan said they believe MOLPoints payment system can help them to expand their published games into new markets. “As for MOL, this is yet another milestone in our continuous effort to provide the best online gaming experience while fostering strong partnerships with reputable game publishers and developers, such as Wargaming, globally” said Officer Ganesh Kumar Bangah, MOL Global Group Chief Executive Officer.
The partnership signing ceremony between both parties was held during the launch WCG Asian Championship 2012. This event was witnessed by Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry deputy secretary-general (policy) Datuk Dr Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad.
