US: MasterCard said it plans to impose a fee on digital wallet operators such as PayPal, Google’s Wallet, Square and iZettle starting in June this year and Visa Inc may follow its rival to charge the same fee, the Global Post reported. Digital wallet is an electronic version of real wallet that stores card and bank information and will be used to buy things online.
