Visa Appoints Chris Suh as Chief Financial Officer

Visa has announced the appointment of Chris Suh as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective August 1, 2023. Suh, previously the CFO of Electronic Arts (EA) and a former executive at Microsoft, brings a wealth of experience in finance and technology to his new role. He will be responsible for Visa’s financial strategies, planning, reporting, finance operations, and investor relations.


SAN FRANCISCO, 21 June 2023 – Visa, a global leader in digital payments, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Suh as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Suh will succeed longstanding Visa CFO Vasant Prabhu and assume full responsibility for the role on August 1, 2023. As CFO Designate, Suh will work closely with Prabhu from July 10 to ensure a seamless transition. Prabhu will depart the company on September 30, 2023, after providing valuable assistance in the transition process.

With a wealth of experience in finance and technology, Suh joins Visa from Electronic Arts (EA), where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer. Reporting directly to Visa’s Chief Executive Officer, Ryan McInerney, Suh will be a vital member of the global leadership team, overseeing Visa’s financial strategies, planning, reporting, finance operations, and investor relations.

Prior to his tenure at EA, Suh served as the Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Cloud + AI group at Microsoft. During his more than 25 years at Microsoft, he played a pivotal role in the growth and transformation of the Azure and Dynamics businesses. Suh’s diverse finance background includes five years leading investor relations, contributing significantly to the company’s success as a cloud-first business.
