Unilumin has completed Asia’s largest indoor transparent screen at CentralWorld, marking a major milestone in commercial digital transformation. The 2,400-square-metre installation combines advanced display technology with architectural integration to redefine retail experiences.
THAILAND, 28 MARCH 2026 – Unilumin has officially delivered Asia’s largest indoor transparent LED screen at CentralWorld, setting a new benchmark for immersive digital infrastructure in commercial spaces across Southeast Asia.
Spanning 2,400 square metres, the installation leverages Unilumin’s UVF series transparent display technology, featuring a 10 mm pixel pitch, brightness levels of up to 8,000 cd/㎡, and over 70% transparency. The lightweight structure, combined with a high refresh rate of 7680Hz and 16-bit grayscale processing, enables smooth visuals and highly accurate colour reproduction, even in bright indoor environments.
To accommodate the complex architectural design of the mall, Unilumin engineered multiple installation approaches, including frame curtain walls, point-supported systems, and hoisting solutions. The display also incorporates a dual-tone aesthetic—black on the front and white on the rear—allowing it to blend seamlessly into the building’s design without compromising visual impact.
The project, which began in 2023, underwent extensive testing and optimisation over three years. Throughout the process, Unilumin maintained close coordination with stakeholders, refining performance elements such as heat dissipation, structural stability, and display clarity. The company’s R&D and production teams also adapted quickly to evolving requirements, ensuring efficient delivery and on-site technical support.
Located near the iconic Erawan Shrine, an area that attracts more than 400,000 visitors daily, the installation has quickly become a focal point within the city’s retail landscape. Beyond enhancing the mall’s visual appeal, the transparent screen serves as a dynamic platform for advertising, digital content, and public art, while also emerging as a popular social media attraction.
The project underscores the growing role of large-scale LED innovations in transforming commercial environments, positioning digital displays as both functional infrastructure and experiential media within modern retail ecosystems.
