Twitter acquires Bluefin Labs to improve its social TV market

KUALA LUMPUR: In the Twitter’s official blog, its chief operating officer Ali Rowghani announced that Twitter has acquire a social TV analytics company, Bluefin Labs which can help Twitter to create innovative new ad products and consumer experiences in the exciting intersection of Twitter and TV.

With Bluefin’s data science capabilities and social TV expertise, Twitter can strengthen itself in the social TV market. It also provides the support in developing the Nielsen Twitter TV Rating, the centrepiece of social TV measurement based on Nielsen’s SocialGuide platform. This exclusive partnership between Twitter and Nielsen was announced end of last year.
