TP-Link Malaysia and UiTM have launched a three-year partnership to provide students with hands-on networking training, certifications and internship opportunities. The initiative aims to better prepare graduates for Malaysia’s evolving digital infrastructure and enterprise technology landscape.

MALAYSIA, 14 APRIL 2026 – TP-Link Malaysia and UiTM have signed a three-year MoU to strengthen students’ enterprise networking skills through hands-on training, industry exposure and certification pathways. The collaboration aims to better align academic learning with real-world digital infrastructure needs in Malaysia.

TP-Link Distribution Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (“TP-Link Malaysia”) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Teknologi MARA to enhance students’ readiness for careers in enterprise networking and digital infrastructure.

The three-year collaboration is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry demands by giving students access to practical networking experience, technical workshops and globally recognised certifications.

A key component of the partnership is the deployment of Omada by TP-Link enterprise networking solutions in UiTM laboratories. This will allow students to gain hands-on experience using the same networking systems widely deployed in business environments.

In addition, students will have access to structured training programmes and the Omada Certified Network Administrator (OCNA) certification pathway, helping them build skills that are directly relevant to the job market.

The collaboration also includes internship and industrial training opportunities with TP-Link, providing students with stronger pathways into employment within Malaysia’s growing digital economy.

According to Hugo Cai, Regional Director of TP-Link Malaysia, the partnership addresses the rising need for skilled professionals as organisations continue expanding their digital infrastructure.

UiTM Vice-Chancellor Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Shahrin Sahib @ Sahibuddin said the collaboration supports the university’s efforts to ensure graduates are equipped with both academic knowledge and practical industry skills.

This initiative builds on TP-Link Malaysia’s earlier collaboration with Universiti Malaya, where more than 500 students participated in certification programmes in 2025, underscoring strong demand for industry-aligned networking skills.

Beyond talent development, both parties will also explore joint initiatives in research, consultation and knowledge sharing, fostering deeper collaboration between academia and industry.

As Malaysia advances its digital economy ambitions, partnerships like this are expected to play a vital role in building a future-ready workforce and strengthening the nation’s digital infrastructure.
