SINGAPORE, 13 OCTOBER 2026 – SoftwareOne, a global provider of software and cloud solutions, together with Crayon, today announced the successful completion of the integration of their channel businesses across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region under the unified SoftwareOne brand. The landmark integration unites two established technology powerhouses, creating a broader and more interconnected channel ecosystem for partners across the region.
The combination brings together complementary strengths from both organizations, spanning established partner relationships, deep technical expertise, strategic vendor alliances, and specialized capabilities in software asset management, cloud services, cybersecurity, data analytics, AI, and managed services. The unified platform is engineered to deliver enhanced capability and broader technological access while safeguarding the existing partner relationships and customer ownership that remain foundational to both brands.
SoftwareOne President of APAC, Varun Paliwal, highlighted the strategic purpose behind the regional consolidation, noting that both companies have built strong relationships and technical expertise across APAC. By bringing these strengths together, the business offers partners a wider array of services and growth opportunities while retaining local market knowledge. He emphasized that success is measured by the ability to generate new services opportunities for partners, support customer responsiveness, and drive sustained business growth.
The integration combines SoftwareOne’s global reach, broad vendor marketplace, and expertise in cloud and IT portfolio management with Crayon’s channel expertise in cloud, data, AI, and regional partner ecosystems. Regional partners will now gain access to an expanded pool of technical specialists, including solution architects, security advisors, vendor practice experts, and bid support teams across cloud, security, AI, and digital productivity domains.
This strategic operational shift coincides with skyrocketing regional technology investments. Research firm IDC projects ICT spending across the region to reach US$647 billion in 2026, with overall spending on artificial intelligence and generative AI set to climb to US$370 billion by 2029 at a 38.4% compound annual growth rate. As enterprise clients shift from localized AI experimentation to enterprise-wide deployments, technology partners face growing demand for comprehensive technical execution and commercial guidance.
Under SoftwareOne’s collaborative framework, delivery is supported to, through, and with partners. Services can be delivered under a partner’s distinct brand or co-delivered on complex enterprise engagements. Partners retain complete ownership of client relationships while tapping into SoftwareOne’s operational scale, global vendor network across more than 70 countries, and specialized partner enablement programs such as Partner Connections and the ISV Innovation Hub. Operations are further streamlined through SoftwareOne’s Cloud-iQ platform, which simplifies subscription management, automated billing, and usage intelligence.
SoftwareOne APAC Head of Channel, Vikas Bhonsle, reiterated that the core ambition of the merged business is to create expanded possibilities for regional partners. By equipping partners with richer capabilities and broader connections, the integrated channel business enables organizations across Malaysia and the wider APAC market to scale efficiently, secure larger engagements, and deliver enhanced business value.
