SKYWORTH PV has officially launched in Malaysia, targeting the country’s growing rooftop solar and energy storage market through local partnerships and tailored solutions. The company aims to support Malaysia’s renewable energy goals with integrated products, financing and operational support.

MALAYSIA, 14 APRIL 2026 – SKYWORTH PV has officially launched its brand in Malaysia, signalling its push into the country’s fast-growing distributed solar market. The company aims to accelerate rooftop solar and energy storage adoption through local partnerships, tailored solutions and financing support.

SKYWORTH PV has officially launched its brand in Malaysia, marking a major step in its Southeast Asia expansion strategy as it seeks to tap into the country’s growing rooftop solar and solar-plus-storage market.

The company hosted its Malaysia First Brand Launch and Partnership Conference in Kuala Lumpur on April 10, bringing together industry experts, business leaders and local partners to discuss opportunities in Malaysia’s distributed solar sector.

The event opened with a video message from Huang Hongsheng, who reaffirmed SKYWORTH Group’s long-term commitment to the new energy sector and its focus on localised development to support low-carbon growth.

In his keynote address, Wang Chundan, General Manager of SKYWORTH PV Asia-Pacific, highlighted Malaysia’s favourable policy environment for solar energy. He pointed to recent changes such as the removal of capacity limits for non-residential PV systems, improvements to the SELCO mechanism, and the shift from the Net Energy Metering scheme to Solar ATAP.

These developments, together with electricity tariff adjustments and green energy incentives, are helping improve project returns and driving stronger demand for solar and energy storage solutions across residential and commercial segments.

Wang said these policy shifts are rapidly unlocking Malaysia’s rooftop solar potential and supporting the country’s target of achieving 70% renewable energy generation by 2050.

During the brand presentation, Ada Xiao, Brand Ambassador of SKYWORTH PV Asia-Pacific, outlined the company’s global footprint and localisation strategy for Southeast Asia. She said the company is adapting its brand, services and ecosystem support to align more closely with Malaysia’s market needs.

The technical session was led by Chen Yuchao, Chief Technical Expert of SKYWORTH PV Asia-Pacific, who showcased the company’s solar modules, hybrid inverters and energy storage systems designed for Malaysia’s climate conditions, grid infrastructure and energy consumption patterns.

SKYWORTH PV also introduced its local partnership model through Chen Lin, Malaysia Market Development Director. The model offers one-stop support for partners across branding, supply chain, system design, digital tools, operations and financing.

The company said its logistics and operational support systems are designed to help partners improve project delivery efficiency, lower market entry barriers and scale faster in the local market.

A major highlight of the event was the signing ceremony, where multiple Malaysian companies entered into on-site partnership agreements with SKYWORTH PV. The company said these agreements mark the beginning of its local partner ecosystem and strengthen its long-term market position.

With its combination of manufacturing expertise, global experience and localised support, SKYWORTH PV said it aims to help Malaysia accelerate its transition towards a cleaner and more resilient energy future.
