SingTel First Telco in Singapore to Offer Direct Carrier Billing for Windows Phone Apps Purchase

Mar 7, 2014 (Fri): SingTel has become the first mobile operator in Singapore to offer direct carrier billing to its customers to make purchase at Windows Phone Store. With the new launched service, SingTel postpaid customers can purchase Windows Phone apps and in-app content and it will bill them directly to their monthly postpaid mobile bill.

Ms Gan Siok Hoon, SingTel’s Vice President of mCommerce, said: “SingTel is excited to offer Windows Phone customers a fuss-free and secure way to make purchases from the wide selection of apps and games available in the Windows Phone Store. Direct carrier billing is ideal for customers who are looking for an alternative to credit card payments.
