Singapore M1 launches first nationwide 4G service in Southeast Asia
M1 Limited (M1) has become the first to offer nationwide 4G service in Southeast Asia. M1’s 4G service is operating on its advanced dual band network in the 1800MHz and 2600MHz spectrum which will encompass both street level and in-building coverage.
Customers on M1’s 4G network will be able to enjoy faster data access with theoretical download speeds of up to 75Mbps on their mobile internet devices and they also able to enjoy 4G roaming services in Hong Kong. More countries will be added in the near future.
This will provide retail and business customers an enhanced experience especially on rich multimedia applications such as high-definition video streaming, online gaming, as well as enable business customers faster access to cloud applications on-the-go.
M1’s 4G service will be available from 15 September 2012 onwards.
M1 is the leading full-service provider of mobile and fixed communications services in Singapore and recently has launched its NFC services.
