Malaysian POS developer Silentmode Sdn. Bhd. has onboarded FIVE Petroleum as its fourth domestic fuel retail client, bringing its RONPOS system across 2,600 stations in Malaysia and over 50 stations in Singapore. The company also successfully completed a third proof-of-concept pilot with EcoOil in the Philippines while announcing upcoming multiplatform capabilities and self-checkout kiosks.

MALAYSIA, 7 OCTOBER 2026 – Silentmode Sdn. Bhd. (Silentmode), developer of the RONPOS fuel retail and convenience store management solution, announced that FIVE Petroleum Malaysia (FIVE) has officially joined the RONPOS platform.

The onboarding makes FIVE the fourth fuel retail client for RONPOS in Malaysia, joining existing major industry operators PETRONAS, Shell, and BHPetrol. Silentmode also confirmed the successful completion of a pilot project with EcoOil in the Philippines in July, marking its third proof-of-concept project in the country.

The developments were unveiled at the FuelForward 2026 event in Kuala Lumpur, officiated by Ganesh Kumar Bangah, Chairman of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and attended by 100 local and international industry representatives.

Reza Razali, Chief Executive Officer of Silentmode, highlighted that RONPOS currently operates across 2,600 fuel stations in Malaysia, alongside a presence in over 50 stations in Singapore established since 2025. Following successful pilot deployments in the Philippines, the company is actively expanding its operational footprint across Southeast Asia to help fuel retailers enhance operational efficiency.

FIVE has also become the first fuel retail operator in Malaysia to implement two new features within the RONPOS ecosystem: MiniPOS and Multiplatform. MiniPOS allows station attendants to authorize pumps and process transactions directly on the forecourt via mobile devices. The Multiplatform feature enables operators to run RONPOS across diverse hardware and operating systems, aiming to reduce total cost of ownership.

Joshua Ng, Chief Marketing Officer of FIVE, noted that deploying devices across multiple platforms allows the company to configure operational setups efficiently across various store formats nationwide.

Looking ahead, Silentmode revealed ongoing development of self-checkout kiosks designed specifically for fuel stations to address labor shortages and operational demands, with commercial readiness targeted by the end of 2027.

Launched in 2018, RONPOS has expanded from a basic point-of-sale tool into an all-in-one ecosystem covering forecourt pumps, payment processing, loyalty programs, inventory management, and back-office reporting. Developed locally in Malaysia, Silentmode previously received the Malaysia Digital Acceleration Grant (MDAG) from MDEC in 2024 to support its product innovation and regional scale.
