Tue, May 28, 2013: The global mobile company Samsung has launched its mobile wallet on its Galaxy mobile devices in Korea, the Banking and Payment Asia reported. The mobile wallet app allows consumers to store their credit card details on the device for purchases and also able to notify consumers when they are near a store or location that can accepts a mobile wallet.
Samsung said that about 30,000 retailers already support its wallet application and they also plan to add more features in the app including membership cards and coupons. However, Samsung did not reveal the time line for the launch of its mobile wallet in global market.
