Razorpay Curlec has integrated DuitNow Pay into its online checkout, becoming one of the first PayNet partners to offer the unified solution to Malaysian merchants. The integration combines online banking and e-wallets into a single screen, helping businesses reduce drop-offs while enabling automatic future updates for recurring and saved payments

MALAYSIA, 27 AUGUST 2026 – Payment gateway provider Razorpay Curlec has gone live with DuitNow Pay, introducing a unified online checkout solution designed to accelerate digital purchases for Malaysian consumers and merchants. The Bank Negara Malaysia-licensed platform is among the first Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet) participants to offer this service locally.

The integration streamlines the checkout process by unifying online banking, savings accounts, credit lines, and e-wallets into a single entry point. Designed with a mobile-first approach to cater to the 78% of online checkouts occurring on mobile devices, the new interface features a searchable bank list that replaces lengthy logo scans with real-time text filtering.

The customer journey involves five seamless steps:

  1. The consumer chooses DuitNow Pay from the merchant’s payment list.
  2. The user selects their bank using the real-time search box.
  3. The platform redirects the user to the secure PayBank portal.
  4. The user approves the payment natively within their trusted banking app.
  5. Upon authorization, the user is automatically redirected back to the merchant page.

This architecture leverages direct integration with PayNet’s infrastructure, ensuring bank-grade security without requiring consumers to enter sensitive card details. Additionally, merchants who enable DuitNow Pay via Razorpay Curlec will automatically inherit future platform capabilities—such as saved payment details and recurring payment support for subscriptions, installments, and scheduled billing—without needing additional technical work.

Kevin Lee, Country Head and CEO of Razorpay Curlec, highlighted that payments are now a key competitive advantage. He emphasized that removing checkout friction directly improves conversion, cash flow, and overall customer experience for Malaysian businesses. Praveen Rajan, CEO of PayNet, added that building on shared national infrastructure allows digital commerce innovation to scale while maintaining strict security standards.

The deployment coincides with rapid growth in Malaysia’s digital finance ecosystem. PayNet processed 8.44 billion transactions in 2025, driven by a 71.7% year-on-year increase in non-bank transactions. Total electronic payment transactions recorded by Bank Negara Malaysia reached 18.4 billion during the same period, reflecting a 25% increase from 2024. Malaysian businesses can now activate DuitNow Pay directly through the Razorpay Curlec platform.
