Gravity Game Unite has opened pre-registration for Ragnarok Zero: Global, the first worldwide PC service for the Ragnarok franchise covering Southeast Asia, Europe and Oceania. The game aims to recreate the classic Ragnarok Online experience with modern improvements and a fair subscription-based model.
MALAYSIA, 6 MARCH 2026 – GRAVITY GAME UNITE SDN. BHD. has officially opened pre-registration for Ragnarok Zero: Global starting 5 March 2026, marking the first global PC service release for the Ragnarok franchise.
The upcoming MMORPG will bring the nostalgic world of Midgard to players across Southeast Asia, Europe and Oceania through a unified global service environment.
Officially licensed by Gravity Co., Ltd., Ragnarok Zero: Global is designed to recreate the original Ragnarok Online experience while introducing refined improvements that enhance gameplay without compromising the classic feel of the beloved MMORPG.
Unlike many modern adaptations of the franchise, Ragnarok Zero stays closely aligned with the original Ragnarok Online, preserving its core gameplay mechanics while evolving the title with updated systems and new content.
To support its global player base, the game will be available in seven languages including Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, English, German, French, Chinese and Turkish, making it one of the most internationally accessible Ragnarok PC titles to date.
Gravity Game Unite also revealed that a user generated content (UGC) system is currently being prepared for the game, marking the first time the feature will be introduced within the Ragnarok intellectual property. More details on the feature will be announced at a later stage.
Harry Choi, President of Gravity Game Unite, said the goal of Ragnarok Zero: Global is to recreate the original Ragnarok experience while improving gameplay for modern audiences.
One of the defining aspects of Ragnarok Zero: Global is its subscription-based service model. Unlike many free-to-play MMORPGs that rely heavily on microtransactions, the subscription model aims to create a fair and balanced gameplay environment where player progress is driven by exploration, teamwork and dedication rather than pay-to-win mechanics.
The game also introduces several distinctive features that differentiate it from previous Ragnarok titles.
Ragnarok Zero is designed to be the closest evolution of the original Ragnarok Online, maintaining its classic progression system and community-driven gameplay. At the same time, the game introduces exclusive Ragnarok Zero episodes featuring new storylines that expand the world of Midgard.
The gameplay structure has also been refined, offering a different leveling experience compared to the original RO1 while preserving the nostalgic atmosphere.
In addition, several quality-of-life improvements have been implemented to modernise the player experience. These include a reworked interface inspired by the original RO1 design, expanded camera and field-of-view options for better visibility, auto-combat support for smoother progression, and simplified travel routes between regions to reduce unnecessary movement.
To celebrate the opening of pre-registration, Gravity Game Unite has launched a series of community events running from 5 March until the end of the pre-registration period.
Players who participate in pre-registration will be eligible for various rewards through events such as pre-registration milestone bonuses, referral code rewards, hidden code discoveries, and daily login activities. Additional community milestones tied to social media followers and player surveys will also unlock rewards for participants.
Existing Ragnarok players on the GNJOY platform can also verify their accounts to receive special VVIP rewards.
These events aim to engage the global Ragnarok community while allowing players to prepare for their upcoming adventure in Midgard ahead of the official launch.
