Pubg Mobile Esports Reward Top 16 Finalist Teams To Dubai

5 January 2021 (MY) – The PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) 2020 League came to a thrilling close yesterday with 16 teams qualifying for the PMGC 2020 Finals next month. Following four weeks of PUBG MOBILE esports battle amongst 24 best professional teams in the world, 6 teams from Southeast Asia (SEA) have proved themselves a cut above the rest by claiming spots on the best 16 teams. Along with the other top teams, Team Secret from Malaysia will seek esports glory and their slice of a $2,000,000 USD prize pool at the PMGC 2020 Finals in Dubai.

Starting on the 21st of January 2021 and running through to the 24th, the PMGC Finals will be streamed worldwide in Dubai and are proudly supported by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) as well as Dubai Sports Council. Whilst the finals will not be open to the public, the offline event provides teams with a levelled playing field, countering ping disadvantage for what is the pinnacle of PUBG MOBILE’s esports program this year. The PMGC Finals prize pool of $2,000,000 USD is also the biggest in PUBG MOBILE history in a single tournament to date. The PMGC 2020 Finals will be available to watch on PUBG MOBILE Esports Malaysia YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channel.

Pursuant to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council (DSC) said, “we are pleased that Dubai Sports Council will play a part in bringing a group of elite esports and PUBG MOBILE players for the PUBG MOBILE Global Championship. Dubai was also one of the first to start flight operations after COVID-19 lockdown, and welcomed tourists. In the PMGC League (24.11−20.12.2020), Four Angry Men (4AM) finished the league stage in top spot, thanks to an incredible performance during the intense fight, followed by Bigetron Red Aliens in second and RRQ Athena in third place. Through the four weeks of Super Weekends, SEA teams has shown spectacular performance and close the last week with the highest achievements, 6 teams enter the finals: Bigetron Red Aliens, RRQ Athena, Secret Jin, Power888 KPS, Aerowolf Limax and Team Secret from Malaysia, compare with the other regions which is 2 teams from South Asia, 1 team from Americas and 4 teams from EMEA. In this final race to the trophy, all top teams will seek payback and stop 4AM dominance, to win the number 1 spot at the PMGC Finals.
