CelcomDigi Berhad and Kulim Technology Park Corporation have finalized a 15-year strategic alliance to deploy enterprise-grade fibre connectivity across Industrial Zone Phase 4A at Kulim Hi-Tech Park. This long-term initiative aims to strengthen industrial digitalization, support incoming high-tech manufacturers, and accelerate economic growth across Kedah and the wider Northern Corridor.

MALAYSIA, 2 NOVEMBER 2026 – CelcomDigi Berhad and Kulim Technology Park Corporation Sdn Bhd have entered into a comprehensive 15-year strategic agreement to deliver robust fibre connectivity at Industrial Zone Phase 4A of Kulim Hi-Tech Park. The initiative allows CelcomDigi to deploy its extensive telecommunications infrastructure and enterprise networking solutions to accelerate industrial operations and digital transformation within the newly expanded zone.

Established in 1996, Kulim Hi-Tech Park serves as a premier industrial engine for Kedah, drawing substantial global and local capital while creating significant employment through high-technology manufacturing. By the second quarter of 2026, the tech park documented cumulative investments reaching RM189.4 billion and supported a skilled workforce numbering 48,813 individuals.

With the persistent influx of advanced manufacturing operations requiring seamless, low-latency data transmission, top-tier network stability has become a vital requirement. Under the terms of the agreement, CelcomDigi will oversee and manage the fibre ducting infrastructure throughout Phase 4A. Industrial tenants will gain direct access to sophisticated corporate network suites, including Dedicated Internet Access, Private Leased Lines, IPVPN, Managed Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing, and Managed Fibre services designed to scale alongside corporate requirements.

The collaborative initiative directly supports the economic blueprint of the Northern Corridor Economic Region, which encompasses Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and Perak. By uniting telecommunications infrastructure with industrial real estate development, both entities seek to enhance the northern region’s competitiveness as a manufacturing and tech-investment destination.

Dato Mohd Sahil Zabidi, Group Chief Executive Officer of KTPC, highlighted that the continuous expansion of the park extends beyond sheer physical acreage, focusing on nurturing an environment where global industry and domestic enterprises thrive together. He indicated that teaming up with CelcomDigi guarantees that Phase 4A features modern digital backbones tailored to incoming global producers, creating fresh prospects for local talent while strengthening the industrial footprint of the state.

T Kugan, Chief Enterprise Business Officer of CelcomDigi, stated that digital connectivity serves as an indispensable pillar for modern industry and national economic advancement. He emphasized that CelcomDigi focuses on building the foundational digital framework required by contemporary manufacturers, helping ensure Kedah and the Northern Corridor continue to draw sustainable high-value industrial investments.
