Rebecca PY MALAYSIA, 19 OCTOBER 2026 – Payment acceptance devices and commerce solutions provider Paysys by NTT DATA (Paysys) has deployed its first unattended payment terminal at Menara Kembar Bank Rakyat, supporting the bank’s digital transformation roadmap.
The deployment marks the initial self-service terminal rollout under the strategic collaboration between Paysys and Bank Rakyat, introducing a secure contactless digital payment option at the bank’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Engineered specifically for self-service operations, the terminal allows users to complete transactions independently without staff intervention. The initiative highlights the expanding role of unattended payment infrastructure in extending secure, contactless transactions beyond traditional retail environments into corporate and operational touchpoints.
Jeremy Low, Chief Operating Officer of Paysys, noted that unattended payments play an increasingly vital role in helping organizations deliver seamless user experiences. He added that the deployment integrates modern payment technology into daily touchpoints to make transactions simpler, faster, and more convenient.
Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bank Rakyat, stated that the installation represents a practical step in leveraging technology and digital innovation in line with the bank’s “Untuk Semua” aspiration. He noted that the bank looks forward to building on its collaboration with Paysys to support its ongoing digitalisation journey.
