Two-wheeled smart mobility startup OMOWAY has secured tens of millions of US dollars in consecutive Pre-A and Pre-A+ funding rounds to accelerate mass production of its self-balancing electric motorcycle, the OMO X. The company is preparing for its first commercial launch in Indonesia as it expands globally.

SINGAPORE, 15 JANUARY 2026 – OMOWAY, a pioneer in two-wheeled smart mobility, has successfully closed consecutive Pre-A and Pre-A+ funding rounds, raising tens of millions of US dollars to advance its next phase of growth. The investment was led by HONGSHAN and ROCKET CAPITAL, with continued participation from existing investors including ZhenFund, Hui Capital, and founder Todd He.

The newly secured funding will be used to support the mass production and delivery of OMOWAY’s flagship product, the OMO X, as well as the continued development of its core intelligent technologies and expansion into global markets.

A key breakthrough behind the OMO X is OMOWAY’s ability to move self-balancing technology from prototype to mass production. By deeply integrating software control, AI algorithms, and electronic architecture, the system delivers smooth and almost imperceptible balance assistance at low speeds. This allows riders to remain stable in stop-and-go traffic without putting their feet down, significantly reducing fatigue and lowering the learning curve for new riders.

With the OMO X completing pre-production validation and entering the final stages of preparation for commercial launch, OMOWAY is positioned to become the world’s first company to mass-produce and deliver a self-balancing smart electric motorcycle.

OMOWAY describes the OMO X as a new category of intelligent two-wheelers. Beyond self-balancing, the vehicle incorporates AI-based perception capabilities that can identify potential risks, issue safety alerts, intervene when necessary, and maintain stability in scenarios such as low-speed riding and hill-hold control. The company refers to this evolution from conventional motorcycles as the emergence of a “MotoRobot.”

The OMO X will debut in Indonesia, where OMOWAY has partnered with more than ten local distributors to establish a strong market presence. The country is one of the world’s largest and most competitive motorcycle markets, making it a key proving ground for the technology. According to OMOWAY, collaboration with experienced local dealers is central to meeting market-specific demands.

Built with global use in mind from the outset, OMOWAY sees Southeast Asia as a critical region for real-world deployment and iteration. Through on-the-ground usage and continuous improvement, the company aims to deliver safer, smarter, and more comfortable two-wheeled mobility solutions to riders worldwide.
