MALAYSIA, 22 JUNE 2026 – NTT DATA, a global leader in AI and digital technology services, has announced a significant expansion of its collaboration with Google Cloud, marking a decisive shift in how enterprises adopt and scale artificial intelligence. The partnership centers on deploying agentic AI solutions built on Gemini Enterprise, moving organisations beyond pilot programmes into full-scale, production-ready AI transformation./
At the heart of this initiative is the establishment of a dedicated global Gemini Enterprise practice by NTT DATA. The practice is supported by joint business planning, technical enablement, engineering support and coordinated go-to-market investments. NTT DATA targets the certification of 5,000 Gemini Enterprise experts worldwide, while co-developing up to 500 AI agents tailored for both horizontal enterprise functions and industry-specific use cases.
The collaboration pairs Google Cloud’s AI, data and cloud platform capabilities with NTT DATA’s global delivery scale and deep industry knowledge spanning strategy, implementation, managed services and governance. Together, the companies aim to help enterprises embed AI into core business workflows, improve workforce productivity, reduce time-to-value and ensure compliance with regulatory and data residency requirements.
A key feature of the model is the deployment of forward-deployed engineers, specialists embedded directly within client organisations, working alongside industry domain experts to form integrated co-innovation teams. These teams are designed to address complex technical challenges in real time, accelerating both development and production adoption.
Industry verticals set to benefit include banking, insurance, manufacturing and retail, with use cases spanning cloud migration, software development, procurement optimisation and marketing performance. The programme also introduces an industrialised agent development and deployment model, described as a global factory approach that combines reusable assets, engineering talent and co-innovation pipelines.
The urgency behind this push is reinforced by data from a recent NTT DATA client survey, which found that 99 percent of enterprises report AI is driving greater demand for cloud investment. However, 88 percent of those same respondents indicated that current cloud investment levels are placing AI, cloud-native and modernisation initiatives at risk, a gap this partnership is explicitly designed to address.
Abhijit Dubey, CEO and Chief AI Officer of NTT DATA, stated that the expanded partnership is designed to help clients move beyond pilots and embed AI into how their organisations truly operate, creating a faster and lower-risk path to enterprise-wide transformation.
Matt Renner, President and Chief Revenue Officer of Google Cloud, noted that the collaboration brings together Google Cloud’s leading AI platform with NTT DATA’s delivery strength, ensuring joint customers have the specialised resources required to deploy sophisticated AI solutions at global scale.
