PHILIPPINES, 23 JUNE 2026 – One of the Philippines’ most enduring retail institutions is making a significant operational leap. National Book Store, the country’s largest book and school supplies chain with more than 260 stores nationwide, has formalised a direct partnership with Anchanto, a Singapore-headquartered B2B SaaS technology company, to overhaul how it manages orders and inventory across both its physical and digital storefronts.
The partnership was sealed at a signing ceremony marking the transition from an earlier arrangement, where National Book Store had been using Anchanto’s platform through a reseller, to a direct deployment relationship. The move reflects confidence built through that prior experience and a strategic decision to consolidate operations at a more ambitious scale.
Under the agreement, National Book Store will deploy two of Anchanto’s core products: its Order Management System and Warehouse Management System. Together, these tools are designed to centralise order processing, synchronise inventory levels in real time across all locations, and integrate with National Book Store’s existing SAP infrastructure and point-of-sale systems, eliminating the operational silos that commonly develop when physical retail and e-commerce channels scale independently.
The timing is deliberate. Omnichannel shopping behaviour in the Philippines has accelerated significantly in recent years, with consumers increasingly expecting consistency whether they browse a marketplace listing, place an order through a brand’s website, or walk into a physical store. For a retailer operating at National Book Store’s scale, maintaining that consistency across hundreds of locations and multiple online storefronts without a unified operational backbone is a growing challenge.
Adrian Ramos, President and CEO of National Book Store, pointed to the integration depth as the critical factor behind the decision, noting that connecting retail stores, warehouses, online channels, and existing SAP systems into one unified ecosystem is an essential step to sustaining e-commerce momentum and strengthening the company’s omnichannel presence across the Philippines.
Beyond inventory and order coordination, the Anchanto platform brings guaranteed uptime and dedicated local support, considerations that carry significant weight for a high-volume retailer where operational downtime translates directly into lost sales and customer experience failures. Anchanto’s CEO Vaibhav Dabhade described National Book Store as an iconic Philippine retailer and highlighted the company’s local expertise in the Philippines as a key enabler of the partnership, backed by broader experience supporting large enterprise retailers across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Anchanto currently processes over 200 million orders annually and manages operations for more than 700 warehouses globally, with integrations across 200-plus logistics providers, marketplaces, and commerce systems.
For National Book Store, the partnership represents more than a technology upgrade. It is a structural commitment to building the operational foundation required to compete effectively as Philippine retail continues its shift toward integrated digital and physical commerce.
