Moomoo has introduced API Skills, an AI-driven feature that allows users to execute trading strategies using plain language. The innovation aims to make advanced, institutional-grade trading tools more accessible to everyday investors.

MALAYSIA, SINGAPORE 20 APRIL 2026 – Moomoo has unveiled its latest innovation, API Skills, an AI-powered capability designed to transform how investors interact with trading platforms by enabling strategy execution through natural language. The launch marks a significant shift toward making sophisticated trading tools more accessible beyond professional circles.

Traditionally, features such as algorithmic trading, real-time automation, and multi-market access have been largely confined to institutional investors and experienced traders. With API Skills, Moomoo removes these barriers by allowing users to simply describe their strategies in everyday language, which the system then converts into executable trading actions, either in live or simulated environments.

According to Robin Xu, Group Senior Partner and Senior Vice President at Futu Holdings, the new capability represents a turning point in investor accessibility. He noted that the platform is not only simplifying tools but redefining who can use them by bringing institutional-level functionality to a broader audience.

The feature introduces a new model of “agentic investing,” where AI acts as an active execution partner rather than a passive interface. Investors can outline their ideas, allow the system to translate them into structured logic, and monitor performance in real time. This effectively creates an always-on trading assistant, streamlining decision-making and execution.

Built on Moomoo’s Open API ecosystem, API Skills supports zero-code strategy deployment, global market access across regions such as the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, and Japan, as well as automated triggers and real-time monitoring. At the same time, the platform emphasizes security through its local-first architecture powered by Moomoo OpenD, ensuring that user data remains within local environments and that all executions require user confirmation.

The launch also addresses a common challenge among investors—the gap between having information and acting on it effectively. By simplifying how strategies are expressed and executed, API Skills aims to enable more consistent and structured trading approaches while keeping users in control.

This development reflects a broader industry trend toward intent-driven investing, where users focus on defining goals while intelligent systems manage execution. With API Skills, Moomoo is positioning itself at the forefront of this shift, offering a more intuitive pathway from idea generation to implementation.
