Wed, Jun 26, 2013: MasterCard, National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Etisalat on Monday launched mobile payment wallet in Egypt namely Flous (means money in Arabic) which can be used by Etisalat Egypt’s subscriber to make payment through their mobile phones securely.
In the beginning, Flous only allows users to transfer money to anyone participating in the service using their mobile phones and to load cash on their phones or take out cash through over 100 of Etisalat’s brancese and 305 of NBE’s branches across Egypt. In future, Flous will allow users to pay bills, top up mobile prepaid lines, and pay for goods and services at several merchants’ locations in Egypt, in addition to using it for e-commerce payments globally.
