MiR and KVC Industrial Supplies introduced the AI-powered MiR1200 Pallet Jack and compact MiR250 at SEMICON SEA 2024, aiming to enhance productivity and safety in Malaysia’s manufacturing sector through advanced automation. This partnership aligns with Malaysia’s digital transformation goals, addressing labor shortages and operational efficiency.

29 May 2024 – Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) and KVC Industrial Supplies proudly announce the debut of the AI-powered MiR1200 Pallet Jack and the compact MiR250 at SEMICON SEA 2024. These advanced Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) are designed to address the complex needs of modern manufacturing environments, offering unparalleled efficiency and precision.

Innovative AMRs to Boost Productivity

As Malaysia, the world’s sixth-largest semiconductor exporter, continues to strengthen its position in the global market, innovative solutions like AMRs are essential. The AI-Powered MiR1200 Pallet Jack, equipped with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, uses advanced 3D vision for precise pallet detection and handling. It is ideal for large-scale enterprises with complex workflows. Complementing the MiR1200 is the MiR250, a compact yet powerful AMR capable of handling weights up to 250 kg at speeds of 2 meters per second, designed for continuous operation and easy maintenance.

Strategic Partnership with KVC

Ko Cheng Han, Executive Director of KVC Industrial Supplies, highlighted the importance of this partnership: “Our collaboration with MiR addresses the labor shortages and productivity demands faced by manufacturing and logistics companies. By integrating MiR’s AMRs, we offer solutions that enhance workplace safety and upskill workers.”

KVC, a leader in industrial supplies for over 30 years, recently joined the MiR network of partners. Tang Poi Toong, Vice President of Sales Asia Pacific at MiR, welcomed this partnership, emphasizing its alignment with Malaysia’s digital transformation goals under the ‘Malaysia Digital’ initiative.
