The move provides dedicated regional infrastructure for organizations across Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand.
As regulatory scrutiny, procurement requirements, and risk committees place stronger emphasis on data sovereignty and data residency, enterprise organizations increasingly require precise clarity on where sensitive communications and compliance data reside. Mimecast’s local deployment in Singapore addresses regional hosting preferences without compromising on security or functional performance.
The newly established Singapore hosting infrastructure operates on the same core codebase, monitoring protocols, and deployment architecture as Mimecast’s global cloud deployment. Consequently, regional organizations gain access to the complete suite of capabilities offered by the Mimecast platform, including automated threat containment, behavioral analysis, and policy enforcement across human, email, endpoint, and AI vectors.
The launch builds upon Mimecast’s broader global infrastructure roadmap, following dedicated regional deployments across the UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, and South Africa. This marks the company’s first infrastructure extension specifically designed to address residency expectations within Southeast Asia.

Hosting Mimecast on AWS regional infrastructure allows regional organizations to meet local data governance preferences while maintaining enterprise performance and security standards.
With immediate effect, new enterprise customers across the specified regional markets can store and process data in Singapore from day one, gaining complete transparency over data location alongside advanced threat protection capabilities.
