Feb 18, 2014 (Tue): Microsoft Corp. signed memorandums of understanding (MoU) with Organization of American States, Europol and FIS during its first annual Cybercrime Enforcement Summit last week. Under the agreements, Microsoft will collaborate with the three organizations to pursue criminal enterprises engaged in cybercrime and helping build a safer Internet.
The companies anticipate that the partnership will enable them to strengthen their forensic and technical analysis of malware and botnets; assessment and investigation of emerging malware threats; enforcement actions against cybercriminals; and the ultimate dismantling of these criminal organizations.
