KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s leading debit card issuer Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) will plan to issue a new limited edition of co-brand Visa debit card featuring superhero “Superman” in the first quarter of this year, BERNAMA reported.
This debit card is aimed to encourage young adults to use debit as their prefer payment mode in their lifestyle. With this card, the card holders will be offered special benefits and discounts for Warner Bros’ products.
To date, Maybank has issued over 8.5 million debit and ATM card with average growth rate of over 30 per cent in the last few years. Maybank reported the debit billings achieved RM4.5 billion last year and holding market share of 53 per cent.
