MALAYSIA, 19 JUNE 2026 – The way corporate Malaysia works is changing, and International Workplace Group (IWG) is staking its claim right at the centre of it. The world’s largest hybrid work platform, home to brands including Regus and Spaces, has officially launched Malaysia’s first Regus Express at Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre — a move that blends premium hospitality with the growing demand for flexible, on-demand working environments.
Nestled along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng in Kuala Lumpur’s central business district, the 148 square metre workspace is compact by design and strategic by intent. It sits within a 10-minute walk of both MRT and LRT stations, placing it squarely within reach of the city’s transit network. The surrounding neighbourhood reads like a who’s who of Kuala Lumpur landmarks — the Petronas Twin Towers, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, embassy row, and a thriving belt of dining and retail destinations are all close at hand.
The launch arrives at a moment of considerable momentum for IWG globally. The company reported its highest ever revenue, cash flow, and earnings growth in the first quarter of 2026, and its Malaysian operations now span 48 centres across brands including Signature, HQ, Regus, and Spaces — 36 of which are concentrated in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
IWG Chief Executive and Founder Mark Dixon described Kuala Lumpur as an excellent fit for the group’s continued regional expansion, pointing to the rising appetite for flexible, capital-light workspace solutions as the driving force behind the latest opening. The Regus Express model, he noted, is designed to meet businesses where they are — offering quality, accessibility, and efficiency without the burden of long-term fixed commitments.
IWG Country Head for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Vijayakumar Tangarasan framed the KLCC launch as a benchmark moment for prime real estate utilisation in Malaysia. With corporate occupiers increasingly stepping away from traditional fixed leases in favour of agile strategies, he said the collaboration with Crowne Plaza KLCC delivers a working environment that marries core business functionality with luxury lifestyle amenities in one of the city’s most coveted addresses. The partnership extends beyond desk space. IWG members registered through the IHG application will gain access to preferential rates on food and beverage offerings, room bookings, and banquet packages at Crowne Plaza KLCC — a perk that speaks to the increasingly blurred line between hospitality and the modern workplace.
The KLCC opening is part of IWG’s broader global push to embed flexible workspaces within hotel properties, a strategy the company continues to scale across its network of more than 5,000 locations in 120 countries. Industry forecasts lend weight to the direction IWG is heading, with flexible workspaces projected to account for as much as 30% of commercial real estate globally by 2030 as hybrid and agile working models become the norm rather than the exception.
For Kuala Lumpur’s growing community of business travellers, remote workers, and corporate teams in need of a premium base without the permanence of a traditional office, Malaysia’s first Regus Express may well be exactly what the city has been waiting for.
