Malaysia highlighted its innovation and digital capabilities at Expand North Star (ENS) and GITEX Dubai 2025, generating over RM1.2 billion in digital export and investment prospects. Fifteen Malaysian tech companies participated, forging strategic partnerships and strengthening ties with the Middle East’s dynamic digital economy.
MALAYSIA, 4 NOVEMBER 2025 – Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) led the country’s strong presence at Expand North Star (ENS) and GITEX Dubai 2025, positioning Malaysia as a hub for technological innovation. The events provided a global platform for Malaysian companies to showcase advanced solutions, engage with regional players, and promote expertise in emerging sectors including fintech, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital services.
Robust bilateral ties between Malaysia and the UAE created strategic avenues for businesses to enter one of the Middle East’s most dynamic digital markets. MDEC played a key role in facilitating these connections, enabling companies to navigate the regional landscape, explore collaboration opportunities, and share knowledge.
Fifteen Malaysian tech companies attended ENS and GITEX, with eight part of the official delegation. Their participation attracted significant attention, resulting in over RM500 million in digital export opportunities and more than RM700 million in potential investments into Malaysia. The outcomes underscore the effectiveness of Malaysia’s coordinated strategy, combining government support, industry expertise, and entrepreneurial innovation to drive sustainable growth in the technology sector.
Three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the event between Malaysian and international tech firms. Axai Digital Sdn Bhd partnered with E3 Middle East Entrepreneur Network LLC FZ, Ultrack Technology Sdn Bhd collaborated with iOmniscient Pty Ltd, and Vulsan X Cydef Sdn Bhd joined forces with Secumailer. These agreements aim to establish strategic partnerships that enhance innovation, expand market reach, and deliver secure, sustainable technology solutions across key industries.
MDEC continues to champion Malaysia’s vision as the ASEAN Digital Hub, promoting initiatives that nurture talent, support enterprise growth, and drive digital transformation. With approved investments reaching RM44.6 billion as of August 2025, Malaysian companies demonstrate strong confidence in the nation’s capabilities and its growing global reputation as a trusted partner in digital innovation.
