SINGAPORE, 29 OCTOBER 2026 – Enterprise-grade mobile identity governance has taken a major step forward as zero-trust and zero-knowledge security platform Keeper Security rolled out a comprehensive update to its iOS application with the launch of version 18.1.
The release marks one of the most substantial user interface overhauls in the company history, introducing a modernised layout built on Apple Liquid Glass design framework alongside custom multi-tasking optimisations for dual-screen mobile hardware. As enterprises across Malaysia and the wider Asia-Pacific region accelerate mobile-first workflows, the update is engineered to balance uncompromising data governance with streamlined user interaction.
Keeper Security Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder Craig Lurey noted that friction represents the primary adversary of effective enterprise security. He explained that engineering the update around Liquid Glass and dual-screen hardware eliminates unnecessary navigation layers, resulting in an interface that accelerates day-to-day access while preserving client-side zero-knowledge encryption.
For multi-screen environments such as the iPhone Duo, the vault interface expands dynamically when opened, allowing system administrators and mobile staff to navigate directory trees and view record details side by side before transitioning smoothly back into a standard view when folded.
Key operational enhancements within version 18.1 include:
Reorganised Navigation: Frequently used tools including search functions, security audits, and two-factor authentication codes have transitioned to a dedicated bottom toolbar, while account settings now sit inside a central avatar menu.Automated Credential Maintenance:
The platform silently reads site-reported credential adjustments, automatically updating or revoking inactive passwords and deprecated passkeys without demanding manual input from the user.
Streamlined Password Creation: The built-in autofill tool now recommends and populates strong credentials directly into system dialogues, instantly saving updates to the vault in the background.
Visual Security Diagnostics: The security evaluation dashboard delivers plain-language diagnostics regarding vault health, supported by upgraded performance for large corporate databases alongside clear visual indicators for offline and sync states.
Granular Sharing Controls: Corporate administrators gain upgraded policy settings to manage nested directories, share multiple assets directly via the mobile activity menu, and explicitly restrict access to sensitive sub-folders.
Beyond day-to-day usability, the update addresses an evolving enterprise landscape where non-human identities, cloud systems, and automated agents expand the threat surface beyond conventional software vulnerabilities. The architecture ensures all cryptographic operations take place entirely on the local device, ensuring sensitive master keys remain strictly within user control across cloud infrastructure, databases, API credentials, and daily logins.
The version 18.1 update is available immediately via the Apple App Store.
