Keeper Security has introduced two native integrations with Jira to unify security incident response and privileged access governance within existing workflows. The integrations allow organisations to manage alerts, approvals and access controls in one operational flow while keeping enforcement centralized within the Keeper platform.
SINGAPORE, 5 MARCH 2026 – Keeper Security has announced the launch of two new native integrations with Atlassian Jira, designed to streamline security incident response and privileged access governance within the widely used project and issue tracking platform.
The integrations aim to connect security detection, response and access enforcement in a unified workflow, allowing organisations to manage incidents and related access changes directly inside Jira while keeping security controls centralized within Keeper’s identity security and Privileged Access Management (PAM) platform.
Jira plays a critical role for many organisations in managing operational requests, change management and security incident tracking. However, in many environments the processes for investigating incidents and enforcing access changes remain disconnected, often relying on email approvals, manual handoffs or ad hoc communication channels. According to Keeper, these fragmented processes can introduce delays and security risks during incident response.
The new integrations address this gap by embedding security response and access governance into existing Jira workflows while maintaining encryption, enforcement and auditing within the Keeper platform.
The solution includes two Forge-based applications built on the Atlassian development framework. The Jira ITSM integration manages security alerts and incidents, while the Jira Workflow integration governs how access requests and approvals are handled during operational or security-related processes.
Together, the two applications enable security teams to track incidents, initiate remediation steps and manage access privileges within a single operational flow. Keeper remains the system of record for security enforcement, while Jira acts as the workflow interface where teams coordinate tasks and approvals.
Craig Lurey, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Keeper Security, said security teams frequently rely on Jira to investigate incidents and coordinate operational responses. By integrating privileged access approvals into the platform, organisations can manage both investigation and remediation workflows within the same environment without weakening encryption or security controls.
With the Jira ITSM integration, security alerts generated within the Keeper platform can automatically create Jira issues, ensuring incidents are captured and prioritised without manual ticket creation. Each issue includes detailed event context and structured alert data, enabling security teams to quickly assess the situation and begin remediation.
The Jira Workflow integration allows teams to initiate access-related actions directly from Jira as part of incident response or operational requests. Users can request access to Keeper Vault resources, shared folders, service accounts or protected systems within the same workflow used to track incidents or tasks.
The system also supports approvals for Endpoint Privilege Manager requests, enabling administrators to review and approve privilege elevation directly in Jira. Access can be configured with expiration windows, supporting time-limited permissions that help enforce least-privilege security policies.
Keeper emphasised that all access enforcement, cryptographic controls and session auditing remain within its platform. This ensures that Jira functions as a coordination layer for workflows rather than acting as a security boundary.
The integrations also support both team-managed and company-managed Jira projects and are designed for Jira Cloud environments. Flexible field mapping enables organisations to align Keeper alert data and access workflows with their existing Jira configurations, issue types and operational priorities.
Beyond Jira, Keeper continues to expand its ecosystem of enterprise integrations. The platform connects with identity providers and Single Sign-On systems, supports automated user provisioning through System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) tools and integrates with Security Information and Event Management systems to feed real-time credential activity into broader monitoring and compliance dashboards.
By embedding access governance directly into widely used enterprise tools, Keeper aims to help organisations modernise security operations while maintaining zero-trust and zero-knowledge architecture required for compliance, audit and risk management.
