6 September 2024 – Kaspersky is excited to announce its first-ever Asia-Pacific Industrial Cybersecurity Conference, set to take place on October 10-11, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand. This landmark event will bring together industrial experts, analysts, vendors, system integrators, and customers from across the globe to discuss the latest advancements and strategies in securing industrial control systems (ICS) technologies.

A key global event in industrial cybersecurity, the Kaspersky Industrial Cybersecurity Conference has, for over a decade, provided invaluable insights into the threat landscape for industrial enterprises, while offering strategies for protecting IT and operational technology (OT) infrastructure. Traditionally held in Sochi, Russia, this year marks the first time the event will be hosted in the Asia-Pacific region, reflecting the area’s rapid digital transformation and increasing need for robust cybersecurity in critical infrastructures.

The conference will address a range of critical topics, including emerging threats and vulnerabilities in automated process control systems. Key presentations will cover topics such as the current industrial automation threat landscape, lessons from SCADA penetration testers, the challenges with open-source vulnerability databases for ICS, and risk-based approaches to OT security.

Kaspersky will also showcase its cutting-edge industrial cybersecurity solutions, including its Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity (KICS) platform and Kaspersky ICS Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service, both designed to provide continuous protection for OT and critical infrastructure. Participants will gain insights from Kaspersky ICS CERT, an expert center that collaborates with industrial automation vendors and facility owners to enhance cybersecurity practices.

While the event will be held in-person for key industrial players in the Asia-Pacific region, Kaspersky will offer a live online broadcast, allowing global participants to join the discussions and interact with experts. Registration for the online session is now open.

According to Andrey Strelkov, Head of the Industrial Cybersecurity Product Line at Kaspersky, “The rising threat landscape in industrial security calls for urgent attention. The conference presents an ideal platform to address these challenges and share knowledge on advanced protection strategies.”

Adrian Hia, Managing Director at Kaspersky APAC, added, “We are eager to welcome industrial companies to this conference as we work together to strengthen cyber resilience and secure critical infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.”
