Kaspersky Introduces Specialized Cybersecurity Courses to Tackle Evolving Threats

Kaspersky has launched three new courses on its Automated Security Awareness Platform, focusing on countering sophisticated cyberattacks targeting executives, healthcare systems, and supply chains. These courses aim to strengthen employee cybersecurity skills and organizational resilience.

15 January 2025 – In response to the rising tide of sophisticated cyberattacks, Kaspersky has announced the launch of three specialized training courses within its renowned Kaspersky Automated Security Awareness Platform (Kaspersky ASAP). These courses are tailored to address emerging threats that increasingly target healthcare organizations, supply chains, and high-level executives.

The launch comes as the Kaspersky IT Security Economics report highlights supply chain resilience as a significant focus in 2023, with healthcare organizations facing an average of 18 cyber incidents per year due to low security maturity. These trends emphasize the need for enhanced cybersecurity training across industries.

The first course, “Attacks on Top Managers and on Behalf of Top Managers: Whaling and Its Impact,” delves into targeted phishing attacks against executives. Participants will learn to recognize and prevent sophisticated impersonation tactics used to exploit organizational resources.

The second offering, “Information Security in Healthcare,” tackles the unique cybersecurity challenges faced by the medical industry, from safeguarding patient data to complying with legal regulations. This course is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to secure sensitive medical information and critical operations.

The third course, “Supply Chain Attacks,” explores the vulnerabilities exploited by cybercriminals through external vendors and suppliers. It provides actionable strategies for monitoring supplier practices, identifying risks, and fortifying interconnected systems against these stealthy threats.

“As cyber threats evolve, so must our strategies to counter them,” said Tatyana Shumaylova, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Kaspersky Security Awareness. “These courses are designed to build resilience in an increasingly interconnected digital world, empowering organizations with the skills needed for comprehensive cyber defense.”

Kaspersky’s initiative underscores the critical role of employee education in combating cyber threats, reinforcing its commitment to fostering a safer digital future.
