Sat, Jun 22, 2013: According to Juniper Research’s report, “Mobile Commerce Markets: Sector-by-Sector Trend Analysis & Forecasts 2013-2017”, the value of transactions conducted via mobile phones and tablets is estimated to exceed US$3.2 trillion (RM10.3 trillion) by 2017, from US$1.5 trillion (RM4.8 trillion) in 2013. The report reveals that initiatives by Visa and MasterCard with regards to NFC certification and wider usage of e-ticketing in airline industry are the key factors contributing the growth of mobile commerce.
