ISS World Services Opted Oracle Exadata to Enhance Customer Experience

Feb 6, 2014 (Thu): ISS World Services, a global facilities-service provider operating in over 50 countries including Malaysia, has today announced its implementation of Oracle Exadata to consolidate its IT systems and meet its growing business requirements with a simplified technology platform.

ISS World Services’ Global Applications Manager, Anders Hedegaard shared, “Our investment in Exadata has greatly simplified our IT infrastructure. Since implementing the technology we have seen a dramatic improvement in the response times of our key applications, which has in turn made us more efficient than ever and allowed us to deliver an even better customer experience. We expect the returns on our investment to have a very short horizon.”

The migration to the Oracle Exadata Database Machine saw ISS achieve an immediate reduction in the time required to perform vital work-order tasks.

For instances, ISS has reduced the time it takes to generate new service requests from 40 minutes to seven minutes and to upgrade an existing request from six hours to 40 minutes. Furthermore, the solution has enabled the company to cut the time required to import service request schedules for global customers from between 15 and 20 hours to one hour.

Oracle Consulting worked closely with ISS to complete the migration in less than two months. The short implementation time and immediate returns on investment have resulted in positive feedback from customers enjoying faster response times and more efficient service.

With the Oracle Exadata Database Machine, ISS has gained a scalable, high-performance platform that will allow it to keep up with evolving customer demands while continuing to take on new business around the world.
