Iskandar Investment Bhd (IIB) has launched Match@Medini, a platform in collaboration with DHL and Thought for Food (TFF) to support startups in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The platform aims to provide startups with access to venture capitalists, investors, and funding opportunities, fostering accelerated growth within the region’s startup ecosystem.
ISKANDAR PUTERI, 24 June 2023 – Iskandar Investment Bhd (IIB), in collaboration with DHL and Thought for Food (TFF), proudly presents Match@Medini, an innovative platform designed to bolster the growth of startup companies, particularly in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in IIB’s commitment to driving digital innovation and fostering entrepreneurial development within the region.
The Match@Medini platform offers a comprehensive ecosystem where startups can engage with venture capitalists, investors, and key stakeholders, serving as a catalyst for their growth. Through this platform, startups will gain access to funding opportunities, including Khazanah Nasional Bhd’s Dana Impak.

The recently concluded Match@Medini event witnessed the participation of 20 startups showcasing their innovative ideas to 22 venture capitalists, funding partners, and corporations. Among the attendees was Khazanah, which has established the RM6 billion Dana Impak as a vital component of its Advancing Malaysia strategy, aimed at supporting the local startup ecosystem through collaborations with domestic and international partners. Penjana Kapital, a RM600 million venture capital fund under the Finance Ministry, was also present.
A spokesperson from Greenbugs, a health food business based in Medini, Ang Ker Soon, expressed their gratitude for the funding opportunities made available through the Match@Medini initiative. “This support will serve as a catalyst for our growth, propelling us towards new horizons.
