Intel has launched its Core Series 3 mobile processors, delivering improved performance, battery life, and AI capabilities for mainstream users and edge devices. The new chips aim to make advanced computing more accessible across education, small businesses, and large-scale deployments.

MALAYSIA, 20 APRIL 2026 – Intel has introduced its latest Core Series 3 mobile processors, targeting value-conscious consumers while expanding access to AI-ready computing across laptops and edge devices. Built on the same foundation as its Core Ultra Series 3 architecture, the new processors leverage the advanced Intel 18A process node to deliver a balance of performance, efficiency, and scalability.

Designed for students, families, and small businesses, the processors promise significant upgrades for users on older systems. Compared to a typical five-year-old PC, Intel reports up to 47% faster single-thread performance, 41% better multi-thread performance, and as much as 2.8 times improvement in GPU-based AI workloads. These gains position the chips as a practical upgrade for everyday productivity and emerging AI use cases.

The Core Series 3 lineup is also Intel’s first hybrid AI-ready processor family in this segment, supporting AI workloads with up to 40 platform TOPS. Connectivity features include support for Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6, alongside optimizations for all-day battery life and reduced power consumption.

Beyond consumer laptops, Intel is extending the reach of Core Series 3 into edge computing environments such as robotics, smart buildings, and point-of-sale systems. The processors are designed to handle diverse workloads, from vision and speech AI to cost-efficient compute tasks, enabling broader adoption of intelligent edge applications.

Intel claims competitive performance advantages in edge AI scenarios, including faster object detection, image classification, and video analytics compared to certain entry-level edge AI platforms. This positions the new chips as a flexible solution for both high-performance and cost-sensitive deployments.

Systems powered by Intel Core Series 3 processors are rolling out starting April 16, 2026, with availability expanding throughout the year across major OEM partners including Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo, and Samsung. Edge-focused systems are expected to follow from the second quarter of 2026.
