Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) launches Wi-Fi 7 access points (APs) offering up to 30% more capacity for wireless traffic. These APs cater to modern enterprise needs in IoT, AI, and security applications.
30 April 2024 – Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the launch of its latest Wi-Fi 7 access points (APs), providing up to 30% more capacity for wireless traffic compared to competitor products. These APs, developed by HPE Aruba Networking, are designed to meet the demands of modern enterprise networks, particularly for high-performance connectivity in IoT, AI, location-based services, and security applications.
Mark Ablett, Vice President of HPE Aruba Networking for Asia Pacific and Japan, highlighted the importance of reliable and secure connectivity in driving data-first modernization initiatives. With the new Wi-Fi 7 APs, HPE aims to deliver optimal network capabilities to support evolving business needs in the digital era.
The new APs feature HPE’s patented ultra tri-band hardware technology, fully utilizing the 5GHz and 6GHz bands to eliminate contention and maximize performance. Additionally, they integrate support for various IoT protocols, eliminating the need for separate IoT network overlays and providing a secure platform for IoT devices.
With the proliferation of IoT devices, enterprises can benefit from HPE’s extensive ecosystem of technology partners, offering solutions for efficient data capture, security, and leveraging IoT data for real-time insights.
Chris DePuy, principal analyst at 650 Group, emphasized the significance of Wi-Fi 7 in meeting the growing demands of enterprises, including robust security, support for legacy devices, and the processing power for IoT applications.
The HPE Aruba Networking 730 Series Campus APs offer enhanced Wi-Fi performance, advanced security features, and wider support for IoT protocols, making them ideal for modern enterprise networks.
These APs will be available globally in July 2024, offering a limited lifetime warranty and managed through HPE Aruba Networking Central.
