The milestone event also saw the launch of the HONOR of Malaysia Awards Project, reinforcing the brand’s long-term commitment to social impact and national development.

MALAYSIA, 10 FEBRUARY 2026 – Global AI device ecosystem company HONOR marked its fifth anniversary in Malaysia by celebrating the consumers and communities that have driven its rapid rise in the local technology market. The milestone was commemorated at the HONOR of Malaysia 5th Anniversary Gala, which brought together loyal consumers, partners, photographers, students, and industry stakeholders in recognition of their shared journey with the brand.

The event underscored HONOR’s consumer-centric philosophy, acknowledging that its success in Malaysia has been built hand in hand with local users in a highly competitive smartphone landscape. During the gala, HONOR recognised outstanding individuals across eight award categories for their contributions to product development, ecosystem growth, and positive community impact.

HONOR’s five-year journey culminated in its achievement as the No.1 smartphone and tablet brand in sell-out market share for Q4 2025, a milestone attributed to continuous innovation and strong consumer trust. President of HONOR South Pacific Justin Li described the journey as challenging yet rewarding, noting that the brand has achieved what feels like a decade of progress within just five years. He added that HONOR’s products are refined through real-world feedback from Malaysian beta users, photographers, and students, ensuring relevance and durability beyond laboratory testing.

During the gala, HONOR also announced the launch of the HONOR of Malaysia Awards Project, a long-term corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at recognising ordinary Malaysians who have made extraordinary contributions to society. The initiative was officiated by Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Teo Nie Ching alongside Justin Li, signalling HONOR’s commitment to supporting national growth beyond technology.

In its inaugural phase, the programme honoured three recipients: Mohd Adli Yahya, founder of the Autism Cafe Project; Cikgu Prakash Surriyamurthy, a visually impaired educator dedicated to teaching Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah; and Siti Normala Adrus, affectionately known as Mak Jah, who provides affordable and free meals to students and low-income communities. The awards were presented by former Malaysian Ambassador to China Dato’ Abdul Majid Ahmad Khan.

Looking ahead, HONOR also announced a National Photography Tour in support of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign. The initiative aims to showcase Malaysia’s landscapes, cultural heritage, and everyday stories through mobile photography, with selected works to be exhibited internationally at the HONOR Global Exhibition 2026.

As HONOR enters its next phase in Malaysia, the company reaffirmed its commitment to building meaningful technology experiences alongside consumers while continuing to contribute positively to the communities it serves.
