MALAYSIA, 13 OCTOBER 2026 – Global technology provider HCLTech has announced a Global Premier Partnership with AI safety and research company Anthropic to accelerate enterprise adoption of Agentic AI with an emphasis on safety, cybersecurity, and governance.
Under the partnership, HCLTech services teams will build tailored industry solutions powered by Claude, Cowork, and Claude Code. Concurrently, HCLSoftware, operating as an Anthropic Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner, will integrate Claude capabilities across its enterprise software portfolio.
To drive scaling, HCLTech is establishing a dedicated Anthropic Business Unit equipped with a Center of Excellence (CoE). The unit will build Agentic AI solutions and offer secure sandbox environments for enterprise deployments of Claude through Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs). It will also assist global organizations in adopting AI-native engineering methodologies, upskilling technical workforces, and establishing governance models required to run Agentic AI safely at scale.
As an ISV partner, HCLSoftware will embed Claude capabilities across key products spanning cybersecurity, automation, and business process applications, including HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan, while enhancing the Actian AI analyst.
In addition, HCLTech will integrate Claude and Claude Code directly into its proprietary agentic software engineering platform, AI Force, targeting IT support, code remediation, and digital employee services. These automated workflows operate under strict policy guardrails, exception handling mechanisms, and human oversight for critical operational changes.
Daniela Amodei, Co-founder and President of Anthropic, stated that AI can only be as useful as it is trustworthy. She noted that Anthropic builds Claude to give organizations the confidence to introduce AI into sensitive, mission-critical operations. She highlighted that HCLTech manages core systems for global banks, healthcare providers, telecom operators, and manufacturers, making the collaboration vital to advancing AI capabilities and safety side-by-side.
C Vijayakumar, CEO and Managing Director of HCLTech, pointed out that combining global systems integration scale with deep ISV product capabilities offers a unique operational advantage to deploy Agentic AI securely. He added that the collaboration with Anthropic further consolidates HCLTech’s market capability to drive tangible business outcomes.
The partnership builds upon HCLTech’s broader capabilities in engineering, data, cloud, and enterprise software, helping organizations transition smoothly from initial AI experimentation to full enterprise deployment.
