April 18, 2014 (Fri): The Indonesian state-owned carrier, Garuda Indonesia has announced that its customers now can pay for their tickets using any ATM under Artajasa’s online payment system called “Transfer for Payment”, Jakarta Post reported.
Before the partnership, Garuda customers could only use a limited number of ATMs for ticket payments. Through Artajasa’s local interbank network, the coverage of ATMs have been extended to 83 banks nationwide.
With the new launched of payment system, Garuda’s online sales is expected to grow by 10 percent by the end of this year. Currently the online transactions account for 20 percent of Garuda’s total transactions.
