FWD Insurance Wins Top Partnership Distribution Award at ITC Asia Insurer Awards 2024

FWD Insurance Berhad receives the Top Partnership Distribution Award at the ITC Asia Insurer Awards 2024 for its innovative collaboration with BSN and the successful launch of Qaseh Bakti, Malaysia’s first digital microinsurance product.


20 June 2024 – FWD Insurance Berhad has achieved a significant milestone by securing the prestigious Top Partnership Distribution Award at the ITC Asia Insurer Awards 2024, held in conjunction with InsurTech Connect Asia 2024. This accolade recognizes FWD Insurance’s leadership in the region, highlighting its strategic partnership initiatives that are driving innovation and reshaping the insurance landscape across Asia.

Accepting the award were Mr. Aman Chowla, CEO of FWD Insurance Berhad, Ms. Susan Ong, Chief Marketing Officer, and Ms. Yap Suat-Yen, Chief Partnership Officer. The award specifically acknowledges FWD Insurance’s groundbreaking collaboration with Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) to introduce Malaysia’s first digital microinsurance product, Qaseh Bakti. Utilizing QR code technology, Qaseh Bakti has revolutionized insurance accessibility with a simple enrollment process, impacting over 65,000 lives since its launch in 2023.

Aman Chowla, CEO of FWD Insurance Berhad, expressed pride in the company’s customer-centric approach and digital innovation strategy, aiming to make insurance more understandable, accessible, and affordable for Malaysians. Building on the success of Qaseh Bakti, FWD Insurance and BSN have introduced Qaseh Bakti Plus in 2024, enhancing financial inclusion with expanded hospital cash benefits. This initiative reaffirms FWD Insurance’s dedication to empowering individuals and families with tailored protection solutions.
